Fèis Ìle & Festival Day

Bruichladdich's festival day is part of Fèis Ìle - the Islay Festival of Music and Malt - taking place every year at the end of May into early June. It is a celebration of whisky, of Islay, and brings together people from all around the world. The 2023 festival kicks off on Friday 26th May and runs until Saturday 3rd June. Bruichladdich Distillery will be hosting our festival day, Rockn’daal, on Sunday 28th May 2023. Get ready to rock out!

Bruichladdich Distillery's festival day, Rock'ndaal, is happening on Sunday 28th May 2023 and will be a ticketed event for people wanting to join us in the courtyard on Islay. After the incredible success last year we are excited to be bringing Rock’ndaal back for 2023. We will also be bringing back virtual elements for those unable to attend the event. We will be communicating more details around our digital festival experience soon.

Yes. Don't worry if you are not able to travel to Islay to see us this year - we will still be streaming some of the action from the day online as well as hosting exclusive sections for our virtual attendees! So no matter where you are in the world, you can join us on the day. We're excited to see you there and celebrate with people near and far. More information on how you can join us virtually will be shared via email as well as on our website and social channels soon.

Rock’ndaal is the name we gave last year to our Bruichladdich Distillery’s festival day and music festival. 2022 marked the first in-person Fèis Ìle celebration since 2019. We loved it and believe you did too, so we brought Rock’ndaal back for 2023.

We will be releasing more details of the programme for the day, in the courtyard and online, in the coming weeks. Sign up to our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss a beat. We will update subscribers with more information on our day’s events, from our exclusive acts to our special festival releases.

We're excited to be hosting our festival day in person at the distillery and online this year. If you want to join us in the courtyard, you can buy a Fèis Ìle 2023 Day Ticket via the link on this page. Tickets will be available from 18/4/23.

To join us virtually, look out for information on how to access via email, on our website and through our social channels soon. If you are not already subscribed to our newsletter, you can easily sign up here.

All day tickets include a Rock’ndaal water bottle and festival wristband - and our limited single malt releases and festival merchandise will be available to purchase in the yard on the day (on a first come, first served, basis).

Yes, but you will need to purchase a ticket in advance to access the distillery grounds on the day. This ensures that we can control numbers and operate the event safely.

You only need to purchase a day ticket if you want to join us in person. We will release details on how to join us for our virtual programme of events soon. Online entry to our virtual festival is free of charge.

Ballots

Masterclass tickets are now open and will be closing 17/04/23 @ 9 am GMT.

Details of the two releases will be revealed in advance of festival day.

Ballots offer a unique opportunity to purchase some of Bruichladdich Distillery's most limited releases. For Fèis Ìle, this means that we are able to offer a limited number of our exclusive festival releases to people who are not able to join us in the courtyard on Islay but definitely want to be part of the celebrations. For more information on the ballot process please see How do the ballots work?

Once the ballot is winners will be drawn at random and confirmed by email within 24-48h. Orders will be operated and fulfilled by Mail Marketing (UK) Limited and subject to standard shipping timescales by delivery destination. Please see How long will delivery take? for further information.

For masterclass tickets, ballot will close 17/04/23 @ 9am GMT and all entrants will receive an email within 24-28h confirming if they've won or lost the ballot.

Any entrants who are not successful in the ballot will have their pre-payment refunded to their card.

Ballot Process:
A ballot offers everyone an equal opportunity to purchase a limited quantity product via a specific process. For ballot releases, a maximum quantity of bottles can be ordered per person which will be made clear during the entry process. There is no limit to the number of individual entrants per household. Ballots offer a unique opportunity to purchase some of Bruichladdich Distillery's most limited releases. As such, these purchases are distinct from other purchases from the Laddie Shop (or The Botanist website) and cannot be combined with other orders or transactions.

Ballot Payments:
Entrants taking up the opportunity to purchase by ballot must pre-authorise the transaction in case their entry is successful, by providing valid payment card details as part of their entry on a secure platform. The pre-authorisation will remain valid for a maximum of 7 days, during which time the ballot will close, and the successful entries will have been drawn and confirmed.

There will be no charge made to the payment card prior to the ballot being drawn, however the amount will be hold from your account. Successful entrants will be notified by email confirming that they have been successful. At that point, the funds will be taken from the relevant payment card and the bottle(s) shipped to their nominated shipping address.
